Troponin I (cTnI) is a protein with a molecular weight of 22.5 kDa, forming part of a tripartite complex that includes Troponin C, Troponin T, and Troponin I. This structural tripartite complex, along with tropomyosin, regulates the main calcium-sensitive ATPase activity of actomyosin in skeletal and cardiac striated muscles. Following cardiac injury, cTnI is released into the blood within 4-6 hours after the onset of pain. The pattern of cTnI elevation is similar to that of MB-CK, with the difference being that MB-CK returns to its normal level after 72 hours, while cTnI remains elevated for 6 to 10 days, providing a longer time window for diagnosing cardiac muscle damage. The higher specificity of the troponin test in diagnosing cardiac muscle damage has been examined and observed in conditions such as pre-cardiac surgery, after marathons, and chest trauma. cTnI release into the blood also occurs in other cardiac conditions, including unstable angina, congestive heart failure, and ischemic injury following bypass surgery. Currently, due to the high specificity and sensitivity of Troponin I in heart tissue, this test has become the most popular biomarker for myocardial infarction.

Product Description

This kit is a rapid immunochromatographic method for the qualitative detection of Troponin I (cTnI) protein in human serum or plasma. The high specificity and sensitivity of Troponin I in heart tissue make this test the most popular biomarker for myocardial infarction.

Applications of the Rapid Troponin I Detection Kit

This kit is used for the rapid detection of cardiac muscle damage in patients with suspected heart attack, unstable angina, or other cardiac conditions.

How to Use the Rapid Troponin I Detection Kit

Prepare a serum or plasma sample and add a few drops into the sample well of the test cassette. Within 5 minutes, check the test (T) and control (C) lines. Two lines (T and C) indicate a positive result, one line (C) indicates a negative result, and the absence of the (C) line indicates an invalid result.

Precautions and Contraindications

This test is designed for in vitro use only.

Contaminated or incorrect samples may show inaccurate results.

Positive results require confirmation with more precise methods.
