Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) is an enveloped, single-stranded RNA virus with a molecular weight of 9.5 kb. It is for IVD (in vitro diagnostic) use only. The reagents in this kit are sufficient for a maximum of 91 samples in one test run. The Microwell Plate consists of strips of empty wells fixed in a white plate, packaged in an aluminum pouch with a desiccant (96 wells/plate). Each well contains recombinant HCV antigens. The well strips can be broken apart for individual use. Unused wells or strips should be placed back into the provided resealable plastic bag with the desiccant and returned to 2-8 degrees Celsius. Stable for 4 weeks at 2-8 degrees Celsius after opening.

Product Description

The Arya Mabna Tashkhis anti-HCV ELISA kit is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) tool designed for the qualitative detection of anti-Hepatitis C virus antibodies in human serum or plasma. This kit utilizes recombinant viral antigens to accurately and rapidly detect HCV infection at various stages of the disease. It is specifically used in screening donated blood and for the clinical diagnosis of infection.

Applications of the Hepatitis C Virus Detection Kit

This kit is used for the detection of Hepatitis C virus antibodies in human serum or plasma. Its primary purpose is to screen donated blood, diagnose HCV infection in patients, and reduce the risk of virus transmission. Due to its high sensitivity and specificity, this kit is an effective tool for managing HCV viral infections.

How to Use the Hepatitis C Virus Detection Kit

Serum or plasma samples are placed into wells coated with recombinant HCV antigens.

During the first incubation, antibodies present in the sample bind to the antigens, forming a “sandwich” complex.

The wells are washed, and HRP-conjugate is added to amplify the signal.

After the second incubation, the reaction is carried out with chromogenic solutions, and a color proportional to the amount of antibody is produced.

Results are recorded and analyzed using a plate reader at a wavelength of 450 nm.

Precautions for the Hepatitis C Virus Detection Kit

This kit must be used by trained professionals only.

Avoid using expired reagents or those with different lot numbers.

Results from lipemic, hemolytic, or contaminated samples are unreliable.

Test procedures must be followed exactly as instructed; no alterations are permitted.

All solutions and samples must reach room temperature (18-30°C) before use.

Use disposable pipette tips to prevent cross-contamination.

Laboratory equipment such as incubators and plate readers must be calibrated and in optimal condition.

Wells should not be allowed to dry after washing; the next step must be performed immediately.

Unused solutions should be returned to the appropriate temperature (2-8°C).

Avoid direct contact of reagents with skin or eyes.
