The Gold Medi Test Plus MOP Urine Rapid Test is designed for the rapid and qualitative detection and identification of morphine in urine. It’s intended solely for forensic and in vitro diagnostic use.

This test operates based on the immunochromatography method and has a sensitivity of 300 ng/mL. It provides a rapid, preliminary result. A more specific alternative method should be used to confirm initial findings; High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is the preferred method for this. If the test result is positive, clinical examinations are necessary to assess substance abuse.

Product Description

The Rapid Morphine Test is a qualitative screening method for the rapid detection of morphine in urine samples. This test operates based on the competitive immunochromatography method and has a sensitivity of 300 ng/mL.

Applications of the Rapid Morphine Test (Strip)

The Rapid Morphine Test (Strip) is an effective initial screening method for the quick and preliminary detection of morphine in urine samples. Positive results from this test require confirmation using more specialized methods, such as HPLC.

How to Use the Rapid Morphine Test (Strip)

To use the Rapid Morphine Test (Strip), first collect a urine sample in a clean container. Then, dip the test strip into the sample up to the marked line. After 5 minutes, examine the colored lines on the strip to check the result.

Precautions and Contraindications for the Rapid Morphine Test

When using the Rapid Morphine Test kit, please note the following:

  • For in vitro diagnostic use only.
  • Contaminated or old samples can yield inaccurate results.
  • Store the kit at 2 to 30 degrees Celsius, away from humidity and direct sunlight.
  • Do not use expired, faulty, or previously used kits.
  • The test strip must be kept in its aluminum packaging until use. Use the test strip immediately upon opening the aluminum pouch.
  • Due to the infectious nature of all samples, adherence to hygiene protocols is essential.
  • Always interpret results under appropriate lighting conditions to prevent errors in interpretation. Results read after 15 minutes are invalid.
  • If the aluminum pouch has been stored at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius (refrigerator temperature), allow it to sit at room temperature for at least 10 minutes before opening.
  • Confirmation of results and clinical examinations are necessary to obtain a final diagnosis.
