The Multi Plus Test Medi Gold Rapid 5-Drug Panel is designed for the rapid and qualitative simultaneous detection and identification of five drugs within three types of test panels (THC/MTD, TML, MET, MOP, / MTD, THC, MOP, AMP, MET, / TML, THC, MOP, AMP, MET) in urine. It is intended solely for forensic and in vitro diagnostic use. This test operates based on the immunochromatography method. This test is for rapid screening only and provides a preliminary result. A more specific alternative method should be used to confirm initial results; High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is the preferred method for this purpose.

Product Description

The Rapid 5-Drug Test Panel is a quick and efficient medical tool for the qualitative detection of five drug substances in urine samples. This panel includes three different types of tests with various combinations (MOP, AMP, MET, THC, TML, or MTD) and is designed for rapid in vitro drug detection. The tool operates based on an immunochromatographic method involving competition between drugs present in the urine sample and antibodies on the test.

Each panel is equipped with an internal control to ensure proper function and result accuracy. This test is primarily designed for preliminary screening, and confirmatory results should be obtained using chromatographic methods such as HPLC.

Applications of the Rapid 5-Drug Test Panel

This panel is used for the rapid detection of drug use or abuse in individuals. It’s utilized for medical evaluations in workplaces, addiction treatment centers, and emergency medical situations. This test can identify five different drug substances or their metabolites in a single urine sample.

How to Use the Rapid 5-Drug Test Panel

To use this panel, collect a fresh urine sample in a clean container. The panel should be at room temperature (15-30°C). Then, immerse the panel into the urine sample up to the marked line (MAX) and wait for 10-15 seconds. Afterward, place the panel horizontally on a flat surface. The formation of a colored line in both the control region (C) and the test region (T) indicates a negative result, while the absence of a line in the test region (T) indicates a positive result.

Precautions and Contraindications

  • This panel is for in vitro diagnostic use only.
  • Positive results must be confirmed by more precise methods.
  • Samples must be fresh and stored at the appropriate temperature.
  • Incorrect results may appear if the panel is used improperly.
  • Strictly avoid using expired panels.
  • Do not reuse the test panel (they are single-use).
  • The test panel must be kept in its aluminum packaging until use. Use the test panel immediately upon opening the aluminum pouch.
  • Adhere to hygiene principles when performing the test.
  • Interpret results under appropriate lighting conditions to prevent errors in test interpretation. Results read after 10 minutes are invalid.
  • If the aluminum pouch has been stored at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius (refrigerator temperature), allow it to sit at room temperature for at least 10 minutes before use.
  • Store the kit at 2 to 30 degrees Celsius, away from humidity and direct sunlight.
